On Ray Mason's Subregatta 94' tape (tape 1) Ed Tordahl described his tic tac operated buoy-release system. Unfortunately he did not tell how the system works. Anyone know how it works?
I would assume that a Tic-Tac in the free-flood area holds in a spring-loaded pin that holds down the float.
As the Tic-Tac dissolves in the water, it will release the pin and the float.
