Hello,
I'm showing here my latest effort in 1/700th scale. It is a fully scratchbuilt U.S.S. Archerfish (long hull-Sturgeon) derived from my previous effort (a waterline short-hull Sturgeon, see below). Thanks to Tom Dougherty who published in the Drawings section some unvaluable (for me!) plans of the real thing, I converted my original Sturgeon to a full-hull version, adjusting it here and there to let it stick to the Booklet of General Plans dimensions to 0.1mm or better, and augmenting its length for the correct scaled 302' length.
Now I plan to cast this master in resin, and hence derive the short-hull version, even if my experience as resin caster is limited to smaller parts than this.
Comments/critics are welcome as usual, thanks and in particular thank you Tom!
Stefano
