I don´t want to spoil the fun here, but what has a Schnellboot got to do with submarines, apart from being a boat?

Don't get me wrong, I like your build, but I also think that a submarine-oriented forum is not the right place for non-submarine topics. Before you know it, you can find all sorts of modelling topics here. Let's write about our non-submarine topics on other, dedicated forums. I do.

Well, I was trying to be a bit diplomatic, but I can see now that this has gone past you. Never mind, I´ll be a bit more direct.

Actually, I do know quite a bit about the Second World War, as you might expect from someone whose country has been occupied by the Nazi´s for five years. So let´s not go into that any further, because remarks questioning someone's knowledge and background usually tend to turn a discussion nasty...

What I meant is that this is a SUBMARINE forum, and this section in particular a SUBMARINE model building section. So in my opinion, your build thread of a Schnellboot simply does not belong here. The same could be said of a build thread of Kriegsmarine crew supplying it, or of a Maultier halftrack bringing in the torpedoes, all of which can be said to have a relation with submarines if you stretch the argument. There are other dedicated forums for these modelling subjects.

As I said before, it´s not that I don´t like the build, it´s just that I have seen how forums specializing on certain types of modelling gradually drift further and further away from their original subject. And I would not want that to happen here.

Well. I hope I have made my point clearer now. And as far as I am concerned, that's the end of the discussion.
