    Reverse RCAB

I am building a 82" Akula type hull (8.50" beam). I plan to use a Reverse RCAB ballast system, taking on 4-6 lbs. of water in a separate chamber that encloses the air bladder. Any sugestions with regard to an air pump or compressor that I can use in conjuction with a pressure tank (10-15 psi.), for the air, will be appreciated. Thank you.

    These have good flow-

This vacuum pump really sucks! This pump operates at 12V and has enough suction for most small projects. We even used one to make our very own [universal g

Bear in mind the specced flow rate is at zero pressure, and this will halve at about half an atmosphere (7 psi). They claim 32 psi on the spec sheet, I find these pumps generally will pump up to about 12-15 psi reliably and with reasonable flow, but not much beyond, but that is plenty for alow pressure system like RCABS.

Not sure what you're going to use for a bag with that amount of displacement. Here in the UK most sub modellers have migrated away from systems that use air bags to rigid tanks that use wither water pumps or piston tanks.
