Hi Peeps

Long time since I posted on here, thought I'd start again with my newest subject. The Stingray sub for the TV show of the same name. I Made the master and moulds in a month and have since started a kit build. Going well so far and no just waiting for the Sub Driver to be produced. The video is of the Ratemaster (Clear part on the back) Spinning.

I think most folks here link to images they have stored at postimage.

The basic kit.


I have designed a modular system for the Ratemaster spin mech and jet outlet (RC only as shown) and a WTC is being made up for the kit by David Merriman. The cabin can be Vacformed (Clear and solid) Plastic or a fibre glass casting.

What jet pump are you using? Is everything included (minus a WTC and the jet pump) that is shown in your set of photos or are you offering two different kits? (static with interior vs. r/c)

Looks like this would be perfect for an RCABS-based dive module.....

As you see it in the photo is what you get with the basic static kit, I forgot to mention that David Merriman will be doing an interior for the kit as well as a few other bits like a gimbled nozzel for up and down trim as well as left and right. The clear plastic parts are laser cut and include a mounting ring and on to that you can attach various modules depending on what you want it to do.

Is the propulsion system also called a vectored nozzle?

The jet is a Kehrer 28-mm-Jet with short steering nozzle

The Nozzel vectors the thrust in a left and right Motion. David is developing an up and down one as well.

Connected a freed up S-148 servo to the Ratemaster and the spin rate is reduced by quite a bit, more in keeping with what was seen on the screen.

This looks great! Stingray has always been my favourite, along with Thunderbird 4.

Where could i get this kit? Any price indication?

It looks terrific! There is no currency symbol with the price (or at least i can´t read it'), but I suppose it´s in Pounds. Which comes to a setback of around 415 Euros excluding P&P.

One definitely worth saving for. I have started by bookmarking the website. Now if only I could shift those Revell Gato's.....

Heres one built by a friend of mine as a surface runner, Still waiting for my sub driver to finish mine but this serves as inspiration.
