    Tom,

Thanks for the link to the other "discussion". Quite an amusing read, especially when the thought process goes "if my cheap R/C car motors aren't going to do, I'll use a steam engine"

Anyway, Diederick44, pay close head to Tom's advice. Buy the book. Learn. And, most importantly, LISTEN to the people who have been doing this a long, long time......

now before anybody goes bonkers about the steam engine thing , its my very own designed motor , using a basic reaction to power the "steam engine" and it looks promising to me , suggestions welcome

You posted the cross sections for a Type VIIC, but that diagram does not provide you the spacing between the cross sections.....

well i figure it can be calculated right , ribs divide overall length = ribs space , or am i missing out something

Re: U-boat type 7 plan wanted

As I recall, the frame spacing is equal throughout except for a couple of frames where the Zentral is located. The odd spacing was introduced when the Type VII was stretched from the B to the C.......

Re: U-boat type 7 plan wanted

that is quite interesting , by how many meters was the C stretched from its original B or A class sister's ? ? And that would be a challenge to figure out where the ribs would go since the submarine was stretched , so i would need a profile plan to mark where my ribs should go
