    Pitch and roll sensor?

    Hi all!
Does anyone have a pitch and roll sensor they are using? Thanks, Ed

    Ed,

The SubTech APC-3 and APC-4 are by far the most commonly used pitch controllers.

One could take one of these same devices, turn it 90 degrees and use it as a roll sensor......

Thanks and you are right, I was actually looking to measure and display these angles.
Maybe you might know, do either the APC-3 or -4 require a "pulse in" or just power to function?

      Best, Ed

They just require power. Some folks disconnect the signal wire and run the stern planes without the ability to manually override with the transmitter. Mostly useful when the sub has both bow/sail and stern planes.

Norbert Bruggen uses two levellers to control roll and pitch on the Dolphin and Deepflight Aviator models. They are mounted at diagonal angles. If you take a look at his website, and download the PDF instructions for the R/C Dolphin, it shows the layout there.
