Latching Relays - Startup and shutdown switch

    Hi-
In a back issue of the SCR, there was a description and drawing of 2 relays set up as latching devices, operated by magnetic switches, to supply and shut off power to the WTC.
Does anyone rember the issue of the SCR or have the drawing?

    Thanks

      There's no reason you could

There's no reason you could not do it with only one relay!

        Use a bistabile relais and

Use a bistabile relais and two reedswitches. Connect the power via one reed switch to one coil of the relais, connect the power via the other reed switch to the other coil.

If a magnet is held close the a reed switch it closes allowing current through. The relais switches. If the magnet is held near the other the relais switches the other way. No need for a relaiscoil to be permenently active.

The drawing that I am looking for may be in Vol. 51 or 53 of the SubCommitte Report. If anyone can find the schematic of the 2 relays, I would appreciate hearing from them. Thanks.
