2.4 SPECTRUM QUESTION WITH SURFACE RUNNER

I am building a small surface runner and was wondering if the spectrum receiver will pick up the transmitter signal inside a WTC. The small antennas would be a maximum of 1 inch from the surface. Anyone tried this yet? Really want to use my DX6i because the receiver is so small and am running out of 75mhz stuff.

Should be fine, but do a range check- the 2.4ghz bounces off stuff a bit easier than the lower frequency kit.
