Hatches

Hello Group,
I am looking for large scale (1/32) round spring loaded white metal or plastic hatches that would represent submarine deck hatches or used in a conning tower. Anyone know where I can find them?

I made one from a tank hatch. I made the spring from solder wire.
it's not that complicated a shape to make.

What I did, was to take a 3/4 " copper end cap (for copper pipe) Put in on my lathe and turn it down leaving about 1/8 " around the edge. From scrap brass you make the arms, with a 1/8 "brass rod running between the arms. On this rod you place a Ball point pen spring. The hatch wheel I made up from old plastic parts. ( I search through plastic gun & armore vehicles, kits at my hobby store. The best, in my opinion, are 1/35 scale Tamya kits. Best Wishes on your project.....Mike Dory

I Used US Coinage..... Of The Proper size... Coated With A Layer Of Solder.
Mine Are spring Loaded Closed...... Can Be Opened and Gives The Illusion Of
the Escape Trunk Ladder when You Look Inside.
