Been real busy taking care
Been real busy taking care of the wife. Not much time for modeling but I did pick up the solenoid made to order and 12 minutes from home thanks to Ralph.
Hoping to install it this week. It's perfect and very strong.
Still have a slow leak I can't find. After about 30 minutes after putting pressure in the system I check and only a bit of air escapes. A big hiss after only 15 min. But a whimper after 30.
At this pointing I'm thinking is it's going through the grease in the stuffing boxes very slowly as I can't locate it anywhere else. I think at best it might have a little water in the compartments after a good run. But as the components all sit up high by a couple of inches it shouldn't be a problem. It's easy to vent the compartments and drain any water with a syringe.
As there is a aft and forward compartment the one the has the leak will have the water as it would be difficult for it to get to the opposite compartment as the connecting tunnel is near the top of both boxes. After running it if I do find water it will be one or the other which will help me to isolate the leak location. That is if I truly have one. Air can escape or enter places water cannot so easily he's says hoping.

I'm not dead yet..I'm feel happy....
Well maybe BD will get the title.
The boat is ready to trim and I'm still alive out there. But. The drama continues as I care for my wife who is starting the long road back to walking again.
It is my hope to get someone over here to help me trim in my pool in Nov. My daughter gets back from location on the 28th of Nov. That will help free me up to run this boat and finish the article I'm writing for SCR.

Thanks John. This is all
Thanks John. This is all harder to do than build the sub in the first place.

Re: My 32 Parallel VIIC
So I'm making this BigDave designed flapper valve to keep water out of the low pressure pump. I just ran her up and all systems are green and good to go. Next weekend I'm making a way to lower her into the pool so I can get to trimming.
More soon.

Re: My 32 Parallel VIIC
Well I finally got the VIIC in the water and she works great.
OK the video says it's not processed yet but it will be in a few minutes so keep trying.
Here's some pictures with the decks off. It was easier to leave them off to make adjustments.
All that's needed is a bit of foam aft as the stern sits a bit low. The longer I run that low pressure pump the higher up it gets out of the water.
Also Dave that flapper valve worked great!!! I just checked both water tight boxes and they are bone dry. I could blow the dust around in there through the end cap openings. Amazing.

Flapper Vlave Photos
I'm very much interested in seeing how you made the flapper valve and how she works.

Re: My 32 Parallel VIIC
About a minute or so. I prefer it to the gas. I have as of last year switched to all RCABS but this is the first time I've used the low pressure pump in addition and I really like it.
You boat is a killer. OTW?
Thanks for the kind words.

Re: My 32 Parallel VIIC
She is a beauty!!
I am glad you like the system.
The nice thing is the boat is already on the surface from the RCABS-R side of the system.
If you want it higher in the water just hit the S/W. You can be running the boat around and it will slowly be coming up higher as you run. As long as it gets up in a reasonable amount of time, Who Cares!!
I am sure the real ones take time as well. It will still dive at the same speed with the vent.
BTW-Thanks Matt for the nice comment.
