      Ha!!
He did call me this morning. They visited the Mighty Mo yesterday.
I just have to switch to the bathtub.
I can do the surface trim in my test tank but the deck is still sitting 1" above the water when the keel is on the bottom.
She has a lot of mass!!! BD.

        Well I got the basic

Well I got the basic ballasting done. It took 42 OZ of lead shot.
It is installed in the keel in three Lexan tubes.
This way I can easily remove them and even change the amount inside to adjust trim.
The larger one goes up front and the two smaller ones go on either side of the battery tube.
The cylinder carrier tube holds the ballast tubes as well as the battery tube in place when it is slid in. BD.

          Hi John,
I was not sure if that was a question or a statement?
I do have my batteries in a tube for this model.
It uses the A123 3400MA cells. BD.

            That is the best place

That is the best place for batteries if you can do it.
You usually need weight in the keel anyway, it may as well be batteries. BD.
