thickness around the prop shaft? Nuke

hey guys,
When you stand your hull up on end to pour the resin in to lock in the tail of the prop shaft, how deep "thick"do you need the resin to be to be strong enough for it to support the shaft. thanks again, Jeff Jones

It doen't have to be bullet-proof! About 1/4 inch will do. Figure the seated length of your stern shaft bushing as a guide. If you're using a shouldered oilite bushing, the length under the shoulder is usually 1/4-3/8 inch. If your bushing isn't shouldered, you want to have the beef just under the bushing's length so that the screw can bear on the bushing's end. Anything thicker than the length of your shaft bushing is really a waste and eats into your linkage operating space.

I happened to read this, and I might need to do the same.
can you briefly explain the steps / gotcha's ? because if it fails,
you have a rock-hard mess where you cannot truly reach it any more...
I'm a bit weary for that ...
