    Jeff,

    Dry transfers! Woodland Scenics brand Model Graphics, MG747, 45 deg., USA NO. Gothic White. If 1/8" = 6 inches in 1:48 scale, and 1/16" = 6 inches in 1:96, then you'll be pretty close using 3/32" high numbers for your 1:72 efforts. Remember to use the next largest size numbers to replicate the "26" at the bow. Because of the hull curvature, that figure is visually larger to account for the slope and still be 6" high, in the vertical plane. Check out the pics of Trepang and you'll see what I mean.

      on that towed array, did all the boats in this class end up using these? Is it correct to assume that when new, the boats didn't have this detail, system on them? thanks Jeff Jones
