Engel is working on a 1/70 scale Type 212A Kit

I found this while looking for information on their new XP dive system in the FAQ section. Thought some folks here might like to know.

Looks like they are working on a Type 212A in 1/70 scale.

And here I just ordered my kit from Arkmodel... The Chinese 212 is 1/48 scale, or about 46" in length. At 1/70th, the model would be, what?.. 31.5" long? Seems a bit small to me, but I'm a big sub guy, myself.

            Jon,

I've only cracked open the box and drooled over the contents, but from what I can see, the kit is amazing. Its extremely comprehensive, and comes with everything you need except tools and glue. Instructions are in Chinese, but I think I'll be able to make it out.

Realistically, I won't be able to get at it until fall, but I can't wait! Its a great size, and the WTC is a departure from what I'm used to. I'm looking forward to learning how they do it over there!

Finally, a Type 212A in The One And Only True Scale, or at least close to it.

I give up on Engel, I'm guessing they scrapped the Type 212a kit.

Too many other 212 options out there.
