I just ordered the kit last night Have been looking for something a little larger than my current SWM Kilo.
It's hard to tell from the images I have seen, is the hull quality quite good?
Also, any ideas how their mast system works? (I ordered that to...)
Over all the hull quality is good.
There are a few places where the mold parts were not aligned correctly and there is a slight mismatch in the sections.
Nothing that can't be sanded out but it will just require some extra finishing work.
The material is very strong but easy to work with.
Some have said the panel lines are too deep but I feel once it is painted they will fill in and the extra depth kind of makes them POP.
You can actually see them and it makes the model look cool. Sometimes if you try and reproduce the lines in scale size they are so small you might as well have left them off. I did not get the mast kit so I have no idea how it works. BD.

Thanks Dave, it's good to hear other modellers experience with the kits.
I think you'll be right about the depth of the details on the hull, you can always 'fill' these in with several layers of undercoat.
I've been working with tanks (1:16) for the last year, it will be good to get back to the water

I've checked The Arkmodels.com Site. I've Seen And Read A Lot Of "Stuff" About them...... Can these Boys Be Trusted?

Is There A Stateside Vendor Checking This Guys Stuff, Before Shipping?
I Also Haven't Seen Any Pricing...... Is the Damn Thing Free?
If So, Then By All Means..... Send Me One!
I had nothing but good service from them.
Just email them any questions you have and Tina will send you a quick answer.
They will send you a price list on any model you ask about.
It will be in Yen so you will have to convert. The online conversion made that easy. PayPal made it a snap to send payment. BD.

The 2 ribs are assembled with 2 stainless steel shafts and nuts and lock washers supplied.
The inner diamiter is 110mm as are the locking rings.
Since I won't be useing the Arkmodels inner caseing I had to make the inner diamiter smaller by some 4 mm to fit my caseing.
This was done with a section of shedule 20 4 inch irragation pipe.
I still needed 2 mm more and that was from the socket side of the same pipe ,2 sections cut and glued in place while the tube is inserted to insure alighnment.
The tube is not glued in.
Now the caseing will slide in and fits with no slop at all.
The 2 rings are glued onto the special ribbs and at the proper location in there rottation and set asside checking that there not missalighned.
The instructions are in Chinese but the pictures are very good.

Hi,
Are the two stainless stell rods and nuts supplied with the kit or was this part of your internal fitting changes?
The "e-shop" link in the left column of their homepage takes you to a website shop called Twin-Horse. Their prices are stated in US $. I suppose there won't be a marked difference between those prices and the quotes you get when e-mailing them, but does anyone know for sure?
I also noticed that a lot of the links to accessories (like torpedo and torpedo system) doesn't work. Or would that be caused by using Firefox?
I ordered a 212 kit about two months ago. Tina says it should be shipped any day now. At that time, their torps weren't ready for sale, so they probably just didn't enable the links yet.
I'm in no rush to get my kit, but it seems like its been a long time. Dave is right, though.. Tina usually emails back within 24hrs if you hit her up.
