    1/72nd Sturgeon kit ?

Can you guys tell me if anyone has one, what the length and hull dia. is on these boats? thanks in advance, I am starting a scratch built one and was trying to get it close to this scale, but think it will fall a little short. Jeff J. s/c# 258

      ...

      thanks John,
What I was really looking for was the scale of what mine will be, its right at 50" including the the prop., which I still need. It started out as 1/96th plans from Deep Sea designs, I had the plans enlarged but don't know exactly the scale of the drawing. Basically I have the plug done and am waiting for the fisrt warm day to glass it. thanks alot. Jeff Jones

          Jeff,

          The 637 class boats were:
          Length]
          So

          Jeff,

          The 637 class boats were:[list]Length]
So assuming that I did the math right, at 1/72nd scale, that would work out to be:[list]Length]
Which makes your 50 inch model just slightly longer....

            ..

Thanks Jeff, I thought it would be close to 1/72nd. It will be close to scale, but not exact. I never allow for the wall thickness of the fiberglass or anything else I might of added to beef up the plug,, lol. Guess if I were to do a kit I would have to be more accurate . thanks again, Jeff Jones
