    Another Gato build

Steve Neill just finished out this nice example of a Gato kit.
This is another one where we both worked on it (but mostly Steve).

Last couple of pictures are actually before weathering.
I thought the weld lines were a little out of scale,so I removed them, and smoothed out the prop guard locations. Steve's solution was to represent the weld lines in the finishing of the weathering stage of paint.
    Nicely done Steve!

Here is some of the boat nearly ready. I am really liking how the paint effect came out after I sanded off the weld lines and Steve put them back on. Nice trim.
    Great work Steve!!

Sitting a bit higher on the water line. Good enough. Nice thing is with all the ballast lead I have in here she doesn't try to lean over at all. Rock solid.

Ready for the lake. Last tests were today.

What size WTC did you use guys?
Does Big Dave or someone sell a kit for this?
                Thanks

                      To answer your question.

                      You can

                      To answer your question.

You can buy the Revell Gato at any local hobby shop in the plastic model section and I've seen them as low as 69 dollars.

Yes BigDave makes a cylinder kit for the Gato with an RCABS system.

Mine was a gas system cylinder that I converted to RCABS which I prefer.

Just waiting for my income tax refund. Hopefully for me I get it.

But if someone beats me to the bunch, thats the price of putting your son through college on a pension.

I think the Sub Gods may smile on me...after being told one Seaview is good, get another sub....I started looking and it was the size and the type of sub that attracted me to this boat. Really excellent time to be getting into the hobby....man am I jacked.

                              Brian these are hard times

Brian these are hard times and the it will be awhile, except for customer builds, before I build anything new.

I'm good for now. This Gato topped me off good.

                              Thanks,
