Kitting out a 1/96 Scaleships Akula

Hi All,

First I'd like to thank everyone who helped out with advice and suggestions in my previous thread:

I've finally placed my order with Vladimir for his great looking Akula kit and I've now got about 2 weeks to plan things before the hull arrives. To drive the kit I'm currently looking at a subdriver35 WTC as a kit.

So what I'd like to ask is; What else should I be ordering / buying that will make my life easier down the track?

I think I know what's needed for a radio/receiver/servo set and I can get these locally. What I'd like to know about is all the other things like linkages and weights that I'll need to get things up and running.

If you can get a

If you can get a 3" WTC to work all the better. My cylinder is 100mm dia and I had a lot of problems getting her stable whilst keeping the cylinder as low as possible, though I finally got there. A smaller cylinder will allow you to raise it and help stability. You may need a prop shaft and tube if you dont want to use the supplied one, brass rod for the linkages, brass tube to act as bushings for the planes and rudder, wheel collars and eith comercial tiller arms or material for homemade ones. Not much else really apart from the usual tools and adhesives.

Well, my kit has turned

Well, my kit has turned up and I've started a build thread over at sub-drivers if anyone is interested.

I'm going to use a subdriver 3.5 as a WTC, as it is a well trodden path and it seems the difficult engineering is done for me, which can only help a first timer like me.
