    Just tested the inner casing

Just tested the inner casing in the bathtub and to my joy with just guesing the amount of weigths to use and position ,it floated level and slightly higher than out of the box.Just one center and large washer wieghts where removed and moved the remaining wieght to the center and slightly to the aft.Great ballancing system ,so easy to use!

Once the sides and aft components are installed it should be just about right.

The run time should be greatly increased with the Powertron PT412A 4.0 amp battery from the 2.3 amph one .

Next mod is the installation of the greardrive and led lights switched on the #5 channel.

And then the acsses port for charging on the front plate, made from stainless steel.

          Action cam installation,is a stand

Action cam installation,is a stand alone color 1gig watertight cam to 10 ft unit.
The rubber protected nose and lenz just protrudes out of the bow and held in place by the hole in the bow with a snug fit.Easy to remove for down load ,no tools.

The nice thing about it is that the camarra can also take video of the sub, then down load up to an half hour of vedeo and great vedeo quality.

48.00$ at Sams Club, good for now.

            First vedeo in my pool

First vedeo in my pool note the increse in speed and manueverability from modifiying stern, new larger prop and moving kort knozzle and 3.33 to one gear drive as in posts. The ster is not painted yet, this speed is only a third of her top speed so fast its hard to control in the small pool.

                The Aztecs called them Cenotes

The Aztecs called them Cenotes a place of beuty.

This is the place for a sub mission for all that want to come.
The place is called Blue Springs , in central Florida close to Gennie Springs.

The very nice thing about this Spring is the huge diving deck that extends well over the mouth of the spring, look straight down and wow what a view!
Bathed in sunlight durring most of the day the rays penetrate all the way down.
You know your in clear water when the shadow of the sub is on the bottom! The winter /fall and spring months are the best since kids are in school and nobody swims but the best thing is there are no divers, its not a divers cave.No body was there all to my self
I made a movie of 30 minutes and had a blast ,so ill chop it up so that the best parts can be seen.

Next time I go Ill make external vedeos.

Also there is a wonderful beach for easy launching or a dock, plus full comforts and plenty of tables and AC power close to the spring all day admitence is 10.00$ well worth it,and to swim in is a dream at 72 degrese F.

Also a nature walk, canue rentals and camping.
Enjoy my vedeos by the way the sub performed flalessly and went all the way down at least 12 ft.A great exploration sub!

Let me know when you or a group would want to meet ,great for the winter Regatta.

                    Here is the latest modification

Here is the latest modification to the Neptune its now a SB-2.
The one thing I did not like about the desighne of the drive is that there is no stuffing box Why they did that I dont know, the single lip seal unsuported by a bearring is not good or standard practice ,especialy since there is a dogbone u jount on the other side, with torque and speed it will destort the seal and a leak will ocure.Grease and oillite bearrings are instaled with a turned down brass adapter to take the place of the seal and hold the stuffing box.
The diagram is similar to what I did.

I noticed a few drops the last time I ran and it came from the seal main shaft,so I made it better. Also the water detection failsafe works very well and will shut the hole sub down till opened and dried out, just a tablespoon trigered it! But I will reposition the sensor so that it takes a bit more to activate. Will post pictures soon.

                        Internal and external switched high

Internal and external switched high intensity LEDs are next for night runs and in the caves and the huge 5ft cat fish will get curiose as they cruise along side.

                          Notice the rear dive planes

Notice the rear dive planes connector rod has been replaced with a thiner lighter brass tube and lock collers to improve prop performance, the original part was a bit thick and diflected the props wash.

                            Here is the finished SB-2.0

Here is the finished SB-2.0 well I realy never say fin but in development with new dive planes ,wider and pivoting from the center with a swept leadig edge.
Made from all things ......model jet wings ,this one from a f-16 snap together kit just cut to your liking ,its solid plastic and a shaft can be fiited and cad inplce.Thats it easy ,even has detail and air foil shape. This mod made a huge difference in handling and looks more realistic. Great for rudders

The led array of some 26 high intensity leds is powered from the main battery switched by the 5th ch and servo and microw switch and several resistors making up the waterproof circuit and water tight connectors.

Just tested in the pool and the hole pool lites up and like when the Titanic was found wow, what sight!

Run time is not greatly affected since at night or in a cave higher speeds are not recomended.

As you can imagine I love this sub ,it handles like no other and is just a blast to modify and run
