izit possible to expose my brushless motor underwater? i've read some people have done that, but i dont know if it's true. Or do i need to seal the motors?

    Not recomended if you want

Not recomended if you want them to last, its more cost efective to seal them.
    Bin there done that.

There are several small pumps that have fully sealed motors like the marine Rule bildge pump ,take it apart and install a prop ,instant sealed thruster.Or make your own.

      I have run small normal

I have run small normal brushed motors in water with good results.

I use motors from car door lock mechanisms. they are made for wet environments.
avoid any motor with a ball bearing, they rust. But cheap motors without ball bearing
      proablay work OK.

      I replace the motor once a year. cost about 8 euro's (10 $)
