Scratch building !

Hello!

Me and my friend wan't to build a submarine as a school project. We don't know much about how it works neither do we know how to build it(we basicly don't know anything).
So I thought that maybe some friendly soul in here could help us!
If you had to build one , how would you do ?
We need to build the hull ourselves, so any tip on what material to use?

What we do know is that it's going to be a dynamic diver, so no ballast tanks needed.
And please to make our lifes easier if you use shortening write what it means inside ( )

aw yes reading writing and arithmatic fun stuff but science is cool.
Basic sub stuff ,servos, (2 or 3 depending on if you want bow and stern planes) radio 75 mghz, speed control, battery. sealed box ( cylinder)for electronics, propeller, and hull.
There are other things such as a pitch control and depth control but if you want a striped down version this is it.
What is you budget and time frame?
R/c is not cheap and easy for a submarine ,an ROV might be easier and cheaper using bilge pumps and a dive box
If you are set on a sub a sewer pipe could be used as a hull with end caps
Research , cruise the net for r/c submarines how too and you tube is not the only place too look good luck

Thing is that we live in Sweden and maybe can't get our hands of everything you guys have =(

our budget is something like 200 bucks and the project has to be finished in a couple of months. That's why we are going to make our own WTC and hull. We are allowed to buy the rest of the stuff like motors etc.
