After running her many times I have found no real need for the deflectors! Ha!

This boat is done and she awaits the Thursday lake run.

OK. We need just a

OK. We need just a slight more aft trim and that's it. She had over an hour run today at the lake. Lots of time under water and at times quite deep.

No problems found. This model performs flawlessly with BigDave's new cylinder he designed for it. Dave it's time to make these for the public.

Build this boat! I could run it all day! Fantastic!

A lot more speed Scott.

A lot more speed Scott. But I like to run her at scale speeds as much as I do with most of my scale boats.

Underwater she can move at a good clip. The lake is shallow right now so I'm be careful as I only have about 3 ft. depth to play with before I get into the deeper murky stuff further out.

Last time I went out there with my type 7 I lost site of her and she got stuck in weeds. We got her back but I'm playing chicken until the waters clear up.

Seems there has been some

Seems there has been some misconceptions about my approach to my build of the Seaview.

First it is not held together with magnets. Read again. Those only hold on the deck. There are screws top and bottom of the hull the lock into the water tight cylinder to prevent it from moving and hold the two halves of the hull together. You can see the holes in the pictures near the magnets for the screws.

In my use of the boat I found no need for the bow planes or the sail planes. That's strictly a choice of the builder. But the boat can dive fast or slow and with enough control by the skipper to the stern planes I have learned to make perfect level dives with little or no effort. I think the videos show this especially the latest fleet run video which shows here diving at flank bell smooth as can be.

I like to keep things simple. Use a four channel radio. Have less controls to hook up. Nicest part of all as I can easily replace a battery for more runs through the FS1 hatch any time I want.

It's just my way of doing things. No one way is the right way. My Seaview is one of my smoothest diving and running boats. Speed means little to me. If it's scale speeds it's good enough.

Build your Seaview your way. Everyone has there own success stories. No one way is better than another. Bottom line is they all work and work well. Mine sure does.

I did totally understand your use of screws to secure the hull, sorry if I seem to give the impression on this or any other forums that it was only magnets.

I did have an idea about using magnets which I found out has been attempted and is NOT a good idea for RC, but I think I can make a display model with magnets.

Thanks for the reply on the ability for this design to have multiple approaches, each one fully capable. Its great to have more then one ways to skin a cat.

I want to make mine with sail planes, but no bow fins.

I have a question

HI Steve!

I have a question on your build and the rear hatch cadillac fins and the lights on those fins. Do you have a picture of how you get at the pumpjet and still have those lights attached. Is the lead to the wires long enough to accomadate or is there a clip connection?

Also how is the cadillac fins hatch secure on your build.

I just used small mini

I just used small mini connectors. And the fins are on with one screw as the front part slides and locks to the deck area. Easy stuff. Any mini connector will do.

Gorillas? Yes I was a famous Gorilla man in Hollywood for years. Here's a picture of my wife Gilly and I on the set of the 1984 Olympics "King Kong Transamerica commercial".

I built the suit and starred in the commercial.

Now the guys here won't think you're crazy or me. Well maybe.
