    'scopes n' stuff...

OK, I've spent a happy hour drilling and filing out all the holes in the conn tower for the 'scopes and other bits and pieces to go through.

Question : what's the favourite way to attach the 'scopes and bits inside the tower? Do I make up a wood former inside the tower and drill it and glue the 'scopes in? Or a brass/alloy/plastic one?

Kit is the Steve Neill U-212, so there's but very little room inside the tower.

      I would use a sheet

I would use a sheet of plastic for the base and then silicone them in place incase you need to remove them for repair. You would be surprised how often you get run over when there are surface craft around.

I'm not overkeen on using wood for the reasons you state Mike, so I'm working towards either plastic or alloy.

                I have an unstarted Steve

I have an unstarted Steve Neill 212 hull kit that it doesn't look like I am going to be able to get to. If anyone's interested, send me an email.
