Here is a clip of the turrets,all done by Legos Tecknics shafts ,gear boxes and U joints.
Cost for all the Lego Parts under 10.00$!And will never rust warp or seizeup and easily repaired.

Here is a clip ,note the rotating U joint and shaft they connect to the 90 degree gear box.

This is the drive servo for the turrets and the hoising for the dive plane servo.The larger servo was modified to rotate in any direction continuesly or stop with variable speed,it is easy to do just remove the gear stop and CA the pot shaft or remove the locking coler so that it cannot rotate ,be sure to locate the servos stop position with the radio on and in nuetral position before you lock the pot.
The extra wires are for future components,I always add a few more wires so that I wont have to add more pasthroughs.

The one thing I felt

The one thing I felt that needs to be redesighned is the single bolt for the WTC ,it doesnot work well as asembled and silver souldered in place ,so I just remove the entire WTC /aft section in one step and remove the regular 4mm bolt from the other end.

It is very imortant not to make the WTC fixed in place as this would make it imposible to add or remove components ,foam extra.
Friction holds the WTC in place and 2 screws on the exterior aft section keep it in place from rotating as well.A great feature about this sub is that its all accessable and easy to repair.
When the inners come out the cooling system tubes and shafts are diconected and are easy to reconect ,the cannon plug connector is for the accessories and in one twist all 14 wres are disconnected.

Here are the basic components

Here are the basic components used in the turrets.
The shafts can be cut to whatever length and will insert perfectly into the + sockets.The bearing blocks alighne perfectly when locked onto the plate ,yellow lego or block ect.
The gear boxes have beveled gears ond run very smoth and can even be taken apart with small screws.

The video shows the lights just done and some fun music!They will turn even faster!

This is where the drive servo is sealed in the camara case along with the dive plane servo.Also the shaft seal is visable,the shaft had to have a + cut into both ends so that a solid 3/16 shaft stainless will connect to the Legos components,done with a dremel stone wheel.















Here the general lay out shows the drive line ,simple.

If your wondering how it

If your wondering how it all stays together ,all lego components have a slight interference fit that allows for the parts to stay together without glue screws ect.But the above can still be done anyway it just depends on where you want it to come apart.

So the turrets keep the sail on and alighned so that the masts pass thrugh and can be easily opened but will not fall apart in the water under current loads .
