    Not subs, but cool!

SC member and master modeler Gary Phillips scratch-built a model of a 1980's era Russian missile boat. While Not a submarine, it might give sub guys some ideas about launching rockets (not at the SubRegatta - sorry! ).

To see the video I made of Gary's boat over the July 4th weekend, go to -

If you have a slow internet connection - view it at a lower resolution at

If you see a 15 second commercial, just sit through it and enjoy the vid! If other ads come up, click the "X" in the upper right corner to make them go away. To view it full screen click on the [square] in the bottom right corner of the window just to the right of the word MENU!

TURN UP THE SOUND AND ENJOY THE MUSIC -

      Locks great ,I bet its

Locks great ,I bet its even more impresive at nigt.

Wait till you see one fired underwater at night and then explodes about 10 feet away, very cool and realistic .I have the plans for the firring system and have made several prototypes but have not yet incorperated it into a sub latlly.

My older 14 year old Typhoon did fire 2 rockets from beneath and was a blast.Just be carefull that the exaust does not burn your paint job ,hence fired from underwater.

I might make the U-32 fire them or the Type XXI im currently building.

Kevin you should try the hydraulic systems I use ,those big doors would open and close with incredible realism right down to the sound! And very cheap to make.Ill send in an article about it soon.
Check out my posts on the system and what it can do for you.
