    No SEAVIEW posts???

The kit has been out for weeks!

Surely somebody in the Subcommittee has started one ---

So far I have fingered the pieces. There are a few aftermarket items that I want in-hand before I start. Like a full interior for FS-1 and a superdetailing kit for the SEAVIEW interior.

I just thought someone here would have started and posted some pictures.

Both BigDave and Merriman have it going. Merriman has a custom WTC for it and fittings. That flyer should have been in your kit.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive with the fittings kit. This will be a long build and everyone else is taking there time to design their own method of RCing the boat. That's the fun in this model.

Don't worry. We will be knee deep in them soon. Just like the Gato. Every one it seems has a Gato except me. LOL!

Actually do, but mine is a little different.

Sorry. I assumed (which now I realize I shouldn't have) that any SEAVIEW posts would be in the TV & Movie Subs part of the forum.

I guess from now on I will just sign in and see what new posts are to be found.

Steve? I know I am way behind on submarine lore. But what sub are you building? Is that an "off-the-slipways" GATO? Or a post-war version, like a GUPPY? The tower has the look of an Atlantic sail . . .

          sorry I was a bit

sorry I was a bit terse,
it was just I had little time to post.
it was only meant to point you in the right direction.

Btw we had our annual subsail today down here in the neterlands, and I can safely say we have at least 2 disney nautilusses (nautilii ?) being built here
          too.

No problem. I was probably a bit snippy in my reply too. I need to watch that. Sorry.

I wish I had a sub group that I could actually talk to and hang out with. I am miles from the nearest chapter and I don't get weekends off.

My only outlet and source of information is the Web.

              Leelan,

              That's the 1/144 Trumpeter Gato.

              Leelan,

That's the 1/144 Trumpeter Gato. Early Gato. WW2. I had the kit and could resist making it RC. Worked out well.

              Back to the big stuff.

I'm building another one of my scratch built 1/72 Blueback now. This time GRP. I lost my first one to a shelf that fell on it. Being that it was vacuum formed the shelf won!

That ought to hold me until the Seaview gets here.

Well, I'm taking a different tack with my first Seaview (the second will be R/C) by setting up a static display for the Sydney Model Boat Show in October. I've lit up the interior, the nose and the manta and what's a 1960s submarine without a giant squid.....................

There's still quite a bit I want to do with this one, but I'm happy with where it's heading.

I may change the colour of the rocks (expanding foam) a little but for now it looks fine.

This is the only one I have ever seen:
