In my opinion for what

In my opinion for what its worth a compressor bassed or non presurrized pump ballast system is the safest and greenest way to operate and you dont have to worry about the cost nor the danger of the thing killing you nor the complexity of the system.

And of course the Navys of the world dont go out to buy CO2,when all of the materials are abundantly available and free.
Just a thought,its worked for me for several years on 12 subs and never suffered a casualty and it has been OKd by the US Coast Gard!

For the inventors out there

For the inventors out there I saw this air cartridge
device which is used for clearing clogged pipes.




You can see the size in the second picture as it fits in the hand.
Might make a minature ballast blow system if you could fit a regulator.
It states it clears the line with 800psi air (co2).
Gun is around $40.00
12 cartridge $17.00
