    Revell Gato Trim test

The Gato sub USS Cobia was out for some final trim testing today and I was pleasantly surprised as she out performed my expectations. The wind was up and the water was choppy, but the Gato cut through the water both on the surface and beneath the waves with little effort. The batteries had plenty of power after over an hour of run time. I tried posting a video but found the file to be too large to upload. Hopefully the still pics will post. Regards, Al

Nice pictures. I really like the simple, but "strong" paint job.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it's greatly appreciated. Mark, as far as the video, No, I have trouble walking and chewing gum let alone do what you say you have had to do. Fact is I had to bribe a guy I pal around with to be Cecil B Demille for a couple hours. : ) Al,

Most excellent run!! That's one of the very few REALISTIC running videos I've seen in a long time. Nice slow dive with the proper angle followed by an excellent periscope depth. Bravo Zulu!!

                        Static Diving Gato

Gentleman, I've seen your work from time to time and this my friends was no feat in comparison to what you have accomplished Mylo. These Videos were presented simply for entertainment and for the purpose the Forum was established for and nothing more. However, I must admit much of the credit goes to D& E Miniatures. Dave Merriman in particular who had perfected the WTC used to drive the Revell Gato boat as well as the Ballast system necessary to accomplish what you have seen in these videos. Not to say that Big Dave's RCAB system works any less effectively for those who desire that type system. Crazy Ivan has also accomplished many great things with his build. My hat is off to these builders and others who were more than generous with providing the less skilled with the insight necessary to move forward keeping a steady bubble : ) Thank you Skip Asay for your more than generous comments as the APC-4 was used to help keep the boat level. Al,
