      Dave (bbdave),

      As far as I

      Dave (bbdave),

As far as I know the robbe U-47 kit comes with all the necessary hardware....including shaft seals. Is your kit missing these items?

Also, if I recall, the robbe parts are in metric-sized parts, so be sure to get parts that would work with them!

        As far as i can

As far as i can tell the kit just has standard prop shafts with no extra sealing bits. will filling the tubes with water pump grease be sufficient?

          Having built a u47 myself,

Having built a u47 myself, it includes stuffing tubes for the propshafts that are filled with silicon grease. no shaft seals are used, the grease seals it...

            Dream arts do some little

Dream arts do some little retrofit items for the Robbe boats that allow you to fit a simmerring (a baby oil seal) to the propshaft along with a ballrace to absorb any axial force.
