Of the ff. frequencies 27, 40, and 75 MHZ, what's the best for use on RC subs?

That is correct....but the difference between a 27MHz and75MHz signal, for our purposes, is essentially negligible.I've always thought lower the frequency, the better.

Hi Tim,
All of these freqs are allowed here in the Philippines.
JWLaRue,
So 27 MHZ would be the best option. I'm planning on getting the new 4GWD from Futaba which is 27 MHZ.

RedBoat,
It is highly unlikely that you would ever see a difference using any of those three frequencies.
One thing to consider, depending on where you are located, the 27MHz spectrum is used by a lot of the low-end, cheap r/c toys. I'm not sure I'd want to trust my r/c sub to operate correctly given that someone could be in the area with an r/c car/tank/etc. If you can get the radio you want on 75MHz (assuming you're in the U.S.), I'd go with that.

Something else worth bearing in
Something else worth bearing in mind is that 27mhz tends to use AM as opposed to FM.
AM takes up more bandwith, which is why there are far less frequency pegs available for 27mhz than 40mhz or 75mhz.
Also the FM sets tend to be better at rejecting interference.
Having said that, I recall at a sub day I ran a couple of years ago, who turned up with a sub and an old 27mhz set, and he had his pick of frequencies as everyone else was on 40mhz!
