Nautilus Drydocks update - almost there...

Just a quick update pic from my 1/32 Nautilus project. I'm going to have it wet by the end of June (no matter what).

I need to prime it, install the interior bulkheads, run linkages, and then install my electronics. Lights and interior details will follow shortly thereafter.

Very nice! I like the screens. is that a 66 inch? What motor are you planning on using? I wonder if R/C nautilus models need alot of power to run at ramming speed, with those huge salon housing pods. I have ordered a 30.5 and am going to trim the salon housings back to protrude less as is seen on the blueprints and the 11 footer. I am also going to put in a very large, high voltage motor. Should make it faster.

I was initially planning on using a 12V car fan motor. I have since decided to try using a D&E 3.5 WTC. The WTC comes with (2) Graupner Speed 500E motors, so I'll give them a shot.

Compared to the rad fan, these little hobby motors are gutless, inefficient, and loud. At 4Amps, my rad motor would spin your fingers off, no problem!

Oh well... we'll see how the Graupners do and then make a decision from there!
