Scribing tools

Can anybody advise on what manual Scribing tool is good to accentuate the scribed lines on a fiberglass hull?

I'd like to go a bit deeper so primer and paint wouldn't hide them.

I like too use a piece of 1/8th stainless rod ground down too a fine point.
You can use a compus point as well.
A dental pick ground down is good too tho there are many different picks which can be used as well.
Practice on a piece of scrap too get the feel and comfort level you like them have at it!
Slow and steady mutiple passes .

I have had good luck

I have had good luck with this tool too. It is made more for plastic but it works well on fiberglass and other materials. BD.

I found some dental picks

I found some dental picks at a gun show nearby that are in different shapes and angles for a very economical prices.
I bought several.

Break the tip off a exacto blade and drag the back side or
square side along the lines. It may not make a fine enough
line but works and gives you something to do with all those
dull blades.

Exacto blades are good for

Exacto blades are good for wide line scribes, I used this on the yellow submarine hull. Came out okay, although there is room for improvement.

As for those other blunt blades, I recommend an oil stone or a diamond sharpener- it will save you a small fortune!
