Micro receiver on the 27 or 75 Mhz FM band

Does one exist? I'm referring to the kind of micro receivers used on park slowfliers. I can only seem to find them on the 72 Mhz and 2.4 Ghz frequencies.

I ask this because I want to have a tiny receiver on a legal frequency.

but most standard sized ones can have the case removed and make them smaller like some of the other ones on that page

        2.4 Ghz is a bad

2.4 Ghz is a bad option, do not use. Between 27 and 75 there is little practical difference in penetrating power. 2.4Ghz is the resonance frequency of water, and hence no signal goes through, but tends to be reflected off the surface.

          Yeah, I know.

I've read a few things from other boards, as well as generally assumed that since our real life subs use very low frequencies to send radio waves through seawater, lower the frequency, "better" the underwater transmission.

Too bad I can't get a 27 Mhz micro radio system

            Sombra Labs Shadow 3 Synthesized

Sombra Labs Shadow 3 Synthesized receiver on 72/75 MHz works very well. Get the rx/programer combo first, then add more rx as needed. I've got them in two subs and they work perfectly.

              two Shadow 3 could set

two Shadow 3 could set up for 16 channels, to find a 16 channels 75 mhz that's hard.

and for a 27 mhz system.

              try

or look around for a cheap one make for parkflyer, get one for $25 at the WRAM Show.

                Micro recievers

                Hello,

I don't know much about the frequencies that you are using. We use 36 Mhz here in Oz. However I recently picked up a small RC Electric Helicopter receiver for about $35 Au. Thinking, oh it's cheap It must be good for something,..

It's an ALIGN RC RX6 receiver and I've put it in my sub and it's been great!!!! You do need to get good chrystals for it though. HITEC ones usually do the job..

                regards,

                David H
