The J -Type 327 Nubian Royal Nabo Star Ship

    Hello to all Captains
At the same time working on the Typhoon I am building this craft.
I know you all think I am a bit crazy but thats a requirement for being inovative and here is an interesting to say the least future aquatic craft that has great lines.
From the Star Wars movies a ship that I fell in love with for its beutyfull gracefull lines and sheer sleeknes,I had to make it an aquacraft!

The model is huge at 3 feet long and 16 inches wide and 4.25 deep.Plenty of space for any dive/propultion system and made of durable well molded plastic.
Notice the 3 large hatches these make great acsses for internals after the interior is gutted ,some modification to the interior structure will have to be done but not too much.
The landing gear comes off and wont be used but will be redone to be retractable via hydraulics.
The drive I intend to use will be 2 liquid cooled brushless motors on seperate escs, then coupled to 2 graupner jet drives.
Then here is where it gets realy interesting, the jet drives will have vectored thrust capabilties making the use of rudders, elivators not required and she will manuever like a jet ski!but in 3D!
I did the first test bed sub that uses the jet drive and found it to be extreamly sucsesfull in the Octura or Deep Dive VI that is posted.

The J-327 Nubian will use some form of static dive system that I have not yet decieded on yet. Also a hydraulic landing gear system and lights.
I think that this hull shape is well worth the convertion to a aquacraft and should be very manueverable and fun to use.

You can still get the model on Ebay and new in box a good price is 100.00$ since its a collectors Star Ship.

I will keep posting building threads on this beuty.Im having image posting problems but check her out at rebelscum .com

Best regards and Merry Xsmass Dave Amur Ship Yard

The 2 jet drives will be not in the nascels but in the stern, why?because if one fails the ship could not limp back to port ,it would only go in cicles.
The sleek lines should be low drag and the vectered thrust units should give it great manueverability,Ijust need to engineer that one!
With the computer radio I should be able to figure it out.
The WTC will be a 3200 Otter Box,and the batteries 12 volt 5 amph Cylon units in the free flood space.
Large LEDS for landing lights ect.

The Nubian ship is a particularly beautiful shape. Neat to think of it cutting through the water.

Will you be removing the contents inside the hull to put your WTC and other hardware in place?

Yes just about all of the guts will be removed for the 3200 Otter box,and posible smaller forward box,Cylon baterries enogh for at least 5-6 amp hours.
Landing gear hydraulics and bays along with other components such as cooling coil and lines.
The major chalange to this craft will be the Vectoring frust system I have tentative plans alraedy drawn up and will post later.
Below is the intended jetdrive X 2.

                        Fortunatly the ship comes apart

Fortunatly the ship comes apart easily with srscrews alot of them, but at the end the hull is intact and ready for further work.
I have already submerged it in my test tank to get an idea of how the hydrdynamics of this craft would be like and so far looks great.
