    Tim,

    Tim,

Here's a proposal. What do you think about a "short" RC sub mini-movie to help promote the hobby.

I think we have most of the necessary pieces. The boys from Spain are coming up with superb footage ... Kerry is a top notch producer ... I have access to a 1/48 scale fleet of both subs and targets.

If someone wants to put together a story board then we could start working towards this goal.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers

Sounds good guys. Have a short realistic sub scenario, then dissolve up to show guys operating the subs. Would you like to be captain of your own submarine?

We would have to avoid using copyrighted footage and music etc., though.

Glad to hear you are still working on your project.

What I was thinking of is sort of a mini movie lead in as Tim describes.

          i.e.

The boys from Spain can do footage of a U-Boat sorte from the sub pen, and the navigation of the minefield.

Someone else can do surface footage of a convoy being attacked by u-boats.

I can get some torpedo shots on a carrier and corvette .. etc.

To date all my shots have been free form ... was thinking if someone writes a story with specific shots required to pull it together to make a mini show as a lead into specifics about RC submarines... much like your doing.

          Cheers

            Video production

Professional video coverage of the 2004 SubRegatta appeared on the T.V. show " Inside R/C". They used some video footage from the wireless camera inside the sail of my 1/72 L.A. model, as it ran in the lake.
The video showed the tents and contestants on shore, as seen from the sub. The producers of the TV program used this footage as a lead-in to their video coverage of the regatta and R/C subs. I noticed that they used some digital enhancements to one of my missile shots. The missile must have gone up too fast for their cameras to show it, so they digitally added the missile in flight, in the TV show.
Looking at this professional TV show might give you some ideas for your project. Good luck.
