    Type IXC original plans online

    Type IX fans,

The French government has a Navy ship plans archive site online. I check back every few months to see what they've added. And tonight when I went back I noticed they've added two original German blueprints of the Type IXC. Didn't expect to find these on a French ship archive!

One blueprint shows the general arrangement including 7 transverse sections. The blueprint covers U64-U68 and U103-U111, and has two dates on the print: 15 July 1938 and 5 July 1940.

The other is the docking plan which shows limber holes and some flood holes. This blueprint also includes the full set of hull stations. It has a date of 10 July 1940.

    Enjoy!

one I found was "skizze", meaning sketch
          in german.

I think we should post this link in the general section.

                  Chris,

The Type VII plan is called "Laubie" and has the date 1943.

From what I've seen, every 'sous-marin' plan that has 'allemand' or 'allemande' as part of the description is a German submarine, except the T2, which seems to be plans of an electric torpedo.

                    Guy's here is another site

Guy's here is another site with free plans. There is a slight catch though. The plans have a permanent tag attached to them stating the conditions of downloading the plans. The tags are carefully placed so as to not interfere with the content on the plan. There are both subs and surface plans from the dreadnought era 1890 - 1920.
                    Here is the link.
                    Enjoy.

that is strange. their website says it is A1 format, which is 8x bigger than an a4 sheet of paper. if you are serious I can ask for you (in german) ? should I ?

                              the original producer is Neckar

the original producer is Neckar verlag, They sell a booklet with small plans in it for about
10 euro's (the Von original zum Modell or VozM series, typ iXc),
                              but also the A1 sized plans (23 of 'm) for 40 euro's.
They warn these are (copies of) original plans, not tailored to modellers needs.
product number of those plans is 7956. they are willing to sell internationally.
best thing is to hang on to the scale of the drawing : 1:/100 and 1/50

this is the link to the product (mind there are 2 things you can buy, you need "planrolle"..)

they do NOT sell small versions of this, other than in the VozM book typ IXc

I guess you might have bought either the booklet or second hand upscaled illegal copies of those small verions in the booklet. check if the scale is 1:50 or 1:100.

I also phoned ModUni.de (reseller) but on their website they mention 2 different sizes.
that is confusing, and they could not explain why this was. they also did not have the product in stock. So try to order from neckar verlag directly.

                              Good luck !
