Scratch Akula. Nothing special you say? Ha! Pedro has installed a NITRO (that's gas) engine to turn the screw (on a snorkel equipped sub) and an electric motor for deeper UW opps!

The second gas/electric combo is for his upcoming type XXI project!

Snorkel for near surface opps with NITRO gas power!

I'd be really pissed if that were my sub they blew up! What were they doing?

And that underwater photo would have won the SubRegatta photo contest if you ask me. What an incredible shot. The coloring is phenomenal.

                Pete,

My guess is the photo has been colour corrected. I have started doing this now as well as time permits. It helps remove the underwater washed out look.

                An example.

                Here is an original

                and the colour corrected photo

Isn't the digital age great .

Outstanding stuff either way you look at it.

                Cheers

                    Picture of my VIIC

                    My friends:
The picture of my VIIC was taken by the Salvador Moron UW camera, and the colors are the originals. The picture was taken in the Annual Regatta at the pond of Lloret de Mar. The bottom of the pond is sand, the water was very clear and the day was sunny. Really the camera is very good and it was "good luck" take all the pictures with this colors. This is not usually. We have a lot of pictures wich aren't so good.

                    Bye

I am indeed impressed then. I have taken a lot of under water photo's see http://www.bcliffe.com/subs for some of my content.

I know what it takes to capture these types of photo's and am highly impressed with your results. Keep at it ... your raising the bar!

                        Cheers
