    I built the bracket that

I built the bracket that surrounds the RCAB pump and mount the clippard valve. I actually, per the instructions, had to solder a brass strip to the mount, to offest the solenoid. On the small tube, there is not much room, so the offset allows for the pump tube mounted later to exit from the top of the valve.

I then soldered the resistor and capacitors provided in the deluxe kit to the pump itself, and put a resistor between the positive and negative on the clippard.

Kinda tight in the Trumpeter Seawolf. But electronics are getting smaller and better!!
I could not use the SESII from Subtech, but the newer SESIII works just fine.
I am donating 2 of the SES II's to the regatta raffle in Carmel. They are new, unused, and will fit in anything larger.

And finally!!, I mount the pump/valve assembly to the bracket and CA the removable bracket tabs to the bulkhead.

        Poof!! It is done!
I did cheat and let Steve Neil finish it out and put on the cool weathered paint job.
Many thanks to all those who helped!!
Big Dave, David Merrimen, Steve Neil, Mike Shubar (and his very kind wife), and I am sure others that escape me at the moment.
It would not have been possible without the help of my friends.
        Thank you.
The plan is to wear the paint off of the tips of the impellor running it, while I work on the next boat (already started).
        Cooler, faster, tricker,Russian, and.... dark....

                Nicely done, Steve!!

My good friend Wayne Frey a fellow bubble head and modeler asked me to finish off this boat for him. He was eager to get work on his Akula it seems. He had done…

                  Steve did an awsome job

Steve did an awsome job wrapping her up to ship back to me.
However, I suspect UPS saw through his plan and used their evil means to perhaps drop my box from the top of a DC10 on it's end. I join the ranks of those whose boats are damaged in shipping .
I found, amazingly in a box full of squggles, the broken fixed stator that could not survive the 3 G decelleration when the UPS receiver missed the catch from the DC10 test drop and completed the concrete density test on my pumpjet. I am only glad the submarine had not quite reached terminal velocity . A test I think they call the "High Intensity Targeting", or HIT test.

The impellor is easly straighten, but the paint gave way, despite the etching I had done to the base metal. It was not ready for the HIT test.
Repairs should not be too bad, and have already started. I only hope I can blend into Steve's paint job as it is all I had hoped it would be.
Threw in a 1/96 Shroud next to the 1/44 to give you an idea of the size differences.

I believe it is off Wayne's Akula which is sitting next to the Seawolf.

                            It is an Akula upper

It is an Akula upper rudder.
Funny, that part does not belong on the cooler, faster, tricker Russian boat.
But good to see you are paying attention. I laid that bait there in the picture to see if anyone would bite
Compensation for shipping? Sure... I could have called the UPS guys out, and done the dance.
No thanks, Kevin. Been there, done that before. It paid nothing, in the end, even though I paid extra for it, and the item was a loss.
I will just fix it and keep going. I have other things to do with my time.It will be functional tomorrow. It is the blending of the paint that will take the most time.
Not a biggee. Experiance teaches well.

maybe an Alfa, it is the fastest sub in the world, given to that stupid liquid magnesium reactor.
