Hi Casey,
I've got a finished and running OTW Type VII. I don't have a way to post photos, we will send you a couple via e-mail. (I owe two others some photos as well!)
There is no comparision or argument.....this is the best r/c Type VII that you can get.

You have to cut out
You have to cut out the limber holes? YEECH! They don't even look marked to cut them out. I would make a mess out of that for sure.

On mine, only the first
On mine, only the first few near the bowl were marked and some of those were overlapping. The same way near the stern as well. There is no molded stern torpedo area, I had to modify the hull on mine. You need to pin the rudders and the bowl hydroplanes because the will break loose from the smooth shaft. A lot of things are not marked. However, the Type VIIC varied greately in it's production run during WWII. But let's be straight, it will turn out to be a great looking U-Boat. Bob Dimmack (OTW) did a great job, he just didn't make it easy. I had to drill and file all those #### holes, well over 400 (I quit counting).... It just took me about a year to complete the hull and the brass tower (All brass and no fillers, and not the resin one either). I guess that's not too bad for an amature....
