    Another question for beginners

    Hello, everyone.
I'm a newbie in the buisness, and I have a question.
Since i'm running pretty low on $, i've been wandering - is it possible to convert a reveill model to a dry hull sub?
    Whithout the WTC?

    Hi Daniel,

    Welcome to the hobby!

    The quick answer is: yes.

I would, however, carefully consider the advantage that a removable WTC has when it comes to maintenance. The cost of the tube and end caps, especially if you make them yourself, can be quite minimal....and probably not a whole lot more than the materials needed to seal op the hull and make access hatches to the inside.

However you look at it, what goes inside the WTC/dryspace is where your costs are going to go!

Yeah, you are probably right, thanks.

But i'm hitting a little snag here.
you see, i live in ukraine, and R\C Sub building hobby is not entirely popular in here.Right now i'm having problems even finding a revell kit.
I was considering Alfa or Akula SSN's but so far i've only discovered 6 variations ov VIIC/41 sub.

        Hello Daniel,
there are more possibilities than WTC/dry hull when converting Type VII. In Europe e.g. see: http://www.rcsubs.sub-club.org/index...d=24&Itemid=29
