    VEN-610 Fail safe.

    Hello all,

I use a car type brake fail safe on my ballast tank. I just bought a fail safe called a "Venom" VEN 610 Venom systems check. I clearly asked for a FS over the counter.

I got home and plugged this thing in. Nice flashing light. No servo movement with the TX off. There is nothing on the packet about how to actually tune it to swing one way or the other. Nothing on their website either. Is this actually a fail safe?

    regards,

      Looks like none of us

Looks like none of us have any experience with this particular unit. Can the people at the hobby shop give you any advice?

          A quick search on Google

A quick search on Google brought up their website-

Now I think it's a Swedish company, but if you email them, then I'm sure they'll speak excellent English and will let you know how to sort the failsafe out.

It's probably programmable and needs setting to your specific radio.

            Hi again David!

I use a Model Engines "Car Saver" GV-100 failsafe in my Akula and it works a treat. When radio contact is lost, it kicks up the rear planes to surface the sub. $25 from my local hobby dealer

The part number seems to be ME100, with the manual here: http://oos.modelengines.com.au/docs/catalogue/ME100.pdf
Hopefully your Venom failsafe will program similarly, as you'd hope they wouldn't be too different. Failing that, give one of these little ME100 beauties a shot!
