    Placing Wtc and ballast tank..?

Sorry I have been asking so many questions....

but this is my last one,

Where do you place your wtc's and ballast tank?

If I'm correct don't you want to put the ballast tank in the middle, the motor and servos in the back, and the battery in front?

    Thanks,
    Mischa

    It really varies from sub

It really varies from sub to sub and the type of components you are using and how you want to sub to perform (stable & steady or very maneuverable).

      Misha,

      Misha,
Just to be a little more specific. You want the ballast tank in the middle of all the floatation. For the sub to be level on the surface and stay level when it dives the ballast tank must be at the center of buoyancy. Then you also need to organize the weight in the sub so that the center of mass is directly below the center of flotation, or else the sub will pitch up/down untill it is directly below the center of buoyancy.

Hope you have fun playing with it. It took me a while to get a model trimmed, but that's half the fun.

        Yes and just to add

Yes and just to add that the "middle of the sub" would be where periscopes etc are.

That's the bit that has to remain level on a full size sub.
