    I think Mike Dory does.

I think Mike Dory does. Many others have used it with success, but you do need to use good fittings for obvious reasons.

      another source of pre-made pressure

another source of pre-made pressure vessels
is the Robart retract system for model
airplanes. the plus is that they also sell
the hoses etc. dunno the PSI rating.

One guy I know uses spent campinggaz
(over there probably coleman) cooking gas
containers. might be worthwhile to check the
outdoor shop again, as they also sell the connectors/adaptors for those cans.

And if you want to go overboard, the scuba shop
has very small emergency air containers about
the size of a deodorant spray can. over here, that
costs 200 bucks, but rated up to ludicrous PSI levels..

      about CO2 a liiiittle question :
imagine what happens when you blow a
flooded ballast tank with small (scale) flooding
holes with CO2, given the water cannot be
      compressed.

It seems to me you either have
      - a brand new thruster/jetski in your boat
      - or a burst ballast tank
I have never seen a CO2 ballast system in
operation either on the net or IRL.

Ps I have no experience with pressurized air systems myself.
