Newbie interested in RC subs

Hi all,

My name is Glenn Cauley and I live in Ottawa, Canada.
I started back into modelling in Dec2005 with a 1:72 U-boat (Revell).

I am interested in finding out about RC subs.
I am a long time RC car racer (electric and nitro) but have no experience with RC water (or below-water) craft.

I would like to convert a Revell 1:72 U-boat into an RC version.
However, I have no idea where to start, what decisions to make, what to buy, etc. etc.. II am adept at building mechanical things and familiar with electronics.

Is there a place where all this information is available? Or would I be best to get together with RC sub folks for tutoring?

Any help is appreciated.
