    cheap 75mhz 6 channels transmitter

    just get this transmitter, cheap.

    http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/i ... IVER_.html

it has basic function of a computer radio!

also you can check out ebay for the crystals set.

with a polk's hobby seeker 6 or other synthesized receiver you are set to go.

i have not tested it in a boat yet, will update.

    6-CHANNEL TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER
Vex # 276-2153. Transmitter and receiver for remote control of robotics servos. Designed as an add-on kit to allow two human operators to control different aspects of the same robot, it can also be used as the primary control (see note below). 6 channels (4 analog and 2 digital). Two joysticks, each with an X and Y axis, control the analog channels 1-4. Momentary switches on the front and back operate the two digital channels. Operates on Channel 89 (75.970MHz). Includes transmitter and receiver with crystals for Channel 89, receiver antenna and sleeve holder for antenna and interconnect cable between RF receiver module and microcontroller. the radio did not come

the radio did not come with program manul!!!

they asume you have the stater kit!!

      function:

      1. spring center left up down stick (stander not)

      2. 6 model setup memory

      3. reverse on all 6 channel.

      4. two mixing function with all channel (100% to -100%)

      5. edit point (end point? 0% to 120%)

      6. scale? (0% to 100%) ch1, ch2

      7. digital trim (-120% to 120%)

      8. drive? (12 or 23)

      9. voltage read out

      10. flaxible power in put 8 AA or r/c car 8 cells AA pack

      11. channel 5 and channel 6, as on off on pushbutton switch

      12. easy and cheap (only if you could find them ) "frequency module" change, nothing but a crystal inside but ok with FCC ?

      13. tether port good for ROV only if you have the stater kit.

I tested it will work with Polk's seeker 6/8, novak xxtra synthesized fm with hitec/futaba setting and Sombra lads Inc. shadow 3 receiver (don't work with polk's transmitter).

the receiver look like a phone jack! the crytal may be the short type so good luck.

channel 1 to 4 are in reverse order of the receiver stander, 5 and 6 ok.

I ONLY tested with servos for now, may give a update.

      range unknow!!!

          Hi
          This transmitter is well

          Hi
This transmitter is well worth the money when you get the right reciever and the one I found to be the best is a Robbe or Futaba 8 chanel surface one, used with the F-14 radio that runs about 80.00 bucks.I have been selling them already modifieid mostly to Latin America and they are great! But if another reciever works be sure it has a good range and works underwater.

I use one in my small sub and battleship and have found it to be reliable and easy to use,but most of all it can do things that other trx cant do like Tank drive modes or dual throtles linked together, and indipendant switch asighnments!Realy for the money of under 40.00$ its a steal and highly recomend this radio which is realy a high quality Futaba unit.Get the rechargable bat pack and you realy ready for a long sail.!

            an other not so cheap,

an other not so cheap, cheap radio,

like on the 6 ch TX

almost not an other airplane type radio,
no landing gear type (on/off)switch! ch5/6 are on/off/on switch.
            spring center return left stick!
            lightweight

            don't like
very very basic, 1 to 4 ch. servo revers only.
not stander battery, 8 AAA 550mah pack.
trainer button, so airplane type radio.

but they have good small cheap price 75 mhz 4, 6 and 8 ch. RX and Crystals.

4 and 6 ch. RX for Futaba sold out, i end up with the 8 ch. RX

but for the people who have airtronics TX you are in luck! i got a very small 6 ch. RX.
some times ago the airtronics RX give us hell, i will test it out and give a up date.

NOTE: RX are NOT dual conversion (you pay for what you got).

            for small pool sub only.

              Demultplexer For Receiver

I've developed a demultilplexer or decoder, for the receiver which uses common parts, no adjustments, inexpensive. No programmer needed.

              I'm willing to share details.

              Documentation:
A guide to operating the transmitter is available at <www.vexlabs.com> then under SUPPORT, then VEX DOCUMENTATION at the bottom is: Vex Inventors Guide Reference - Appendix F, Transmitter (3.6M pdf, 01-28-05)

              Crystals:
There are two sets of additional crystals available for different channels.
              Set A; 65, 69, 81, 85 PN #276-2171
              Set B; 63, 67, 83, 87 PN #276-2160
Each set includes transmitter and receiver crystals for each channel and are listed $49.99 for each set. (Jan. 2008)

Standard transmitter is channel #61 (75.410 MHz) and the “add-on” is #89 (75.970 MHz).

This results in 10 channels for the VEX transmitter and receiver.

Listed for parts: VEX Labs, Greenville, TX 903—453-0802

              Hope that this helps.

              Warren

                Vex R/C Transmitter/Receiver

These transmitters show up regularly on ebay along with the extra crystals. I have used one to control a small combat robot using a CWS brand receiver that I bought at a combet robot site.

I would be interested in your decoder. I have seen a program on the Parallax microcontroller site using the Parallax SX chip to decode, but that requires programming the chip.
