Hey Pete, Kevin's model is fantastic!! I know because I was on a waiting list and the other guy could not make at this time, so I got er
It is over at Merrimans place, he is going to do a kit review, but I can tell you now for a first timer, Kevin made my first attempt look like a amateur!!!
Super Sweet Boat, prefect resin parts, very fine glass layup, and what a BIG Sucker!!!
When I start in on the build I will drop you a line buddy.
I saw it in Carmel, and you're right—it's a terrific model. Don't feel bad though. Kevin said he's been building fuselages for R/C planes for years. So he's had some experience. Not to take anything away drom the great job he did though.
I wanted to see his thread because I'm going to try to use the same process he used to retool my Virginia and possibly that Ohio we talked about.
Let me know how your build goes. Are you building it, or is David. As you said he's doing a review, I thought he builds them to do that.
Yea putting it together allways tell more! But That will be my Pleasure to do, and I am going to try to catch up with you guys this year on some Kit making.
Dave is doing the out of the Box review, for a intro article I am going to do on the build.
Kevin has a few other New items he plans to add to the model/kit, and it will be very COOL!
So I look forward to your changes, and BUILD MORE SUB'S!
Yes, I've been very quiet- I'd like to tell you that I've been working on fantastic things, but in actuality I've been bogged down at work and accomplishing little at home. I am still planning to have the toys installed in my OSCAR for spring, and get it detailed and painted as soon as the weather turns warm again though.
Yes I'm still here (as can be seen in my reply to Michael). I've been in Fort Walton Beach on business for the last week, and work has been insanely busy for the last couple of months. (But much better than the alternative...)
Also, as Brian mentioned I've got a list of toys that I'll be adding to my OSCAR over the winter, and I'm also planning to get all the detailing done so that I can get her into colour come spring. (Yes, I'll capture that in another thread, I promise!)
Is there anyone here that lives down in the Fort Walton Beach area? (I may find myslef down there again...)
