    Baviaria Film studios

    Dear all,
Have just returned from the fatherland this very minute!!! We went to the Bavaria film studios and had a great time - the Das Boot set was only a small part of the 90 minute tour. However, I have lots of photographs courtesy of Nikki and our friend Mark, plus video footage that I shot.
I will put the photographs on here soon, but the video.... rapidshare?

Paul ... thanks for great pictures you got at the museum! But excuse my personal question ... who is the beautiful young woman shown on your avitar? Please don't take this wrong, but she is perfect!

          Ray,

          Ray,
thanks for the feedback on the photographs. Did you see the video yet?
As for our lady friend in my avatar, where I should like to say she is my wife... - she is Audrey Tatou from the film Amelie, and more recently Tom Hanks' co-star in the Davinci Code.
I was looking for a Das Boot avatar, but found this one instead!

          Paul.

            Paul,

            Thanks for the pics.

            Paul,

            Thanks for the pics.

Pic #2 showing the miniature sub. It looks like about 1/4 scale, would that be close ? If so, would that be a FANTASTIC project to undertake .....a 1/4 scale U-Boat. ...and to heck with r/c, make that baby fully functional, crew of 2, Kraka style. Anybody want to team up on that ? ....and I'm only partially kidding.

Great pics, great avatar too. .....I didn't THINK that was you. The pic of the guy in the engine room is closer to what I imagined.

            Thanks again,

            Mylo
