I need a bigger work bench. You know the box is big when you get it. But not till you start to assemble it does it really sink in how big it really is for a plastic model. It is a great kit. Nice thick plastic. Now to finish getting her up and running. I give Revell three big Woo Hoo's on this one. BD.

Be nice to see someone convert one of these into the 1950 ballistic missile boat concept with the streamlined sail and pumpjet. Check out Polmar's Cold War Submarines pg 116 for a photo....

Like they said in the wizard of OZ, the best place to start is the beginning.
Follow The Yellow Brick Road!! Ha!!
I am about 1/4 way through my installation now. So far everything is looking great. My prototype cylinder seems to fit. It’s the documenting of each step that takes the most time. I will post some photos soon. BD.

hey Tim,
I started and completed the stand already,,, lol,, that took all of 5 mins. Was looking at the fwd section, would really like the bow planes to retract. Might start there first. Just don't want to glue anything out of step, but the way the bow and aft sections fit onto the main hull is pretty cool.. May try to keep these 2 parts removeable for maintenance, as in a forward water proof servo, and aft control linkage adjustments. Tons of detail parts in this kit. Jeff J.

Rear section converted to functional operation. Rudder and rear plane linkages in, and prop shafts and bearings installed. Yes! I know the prop is on the wrong side! BD.
