    SS-2 Plunger class (A-boat) class?

Hey all, cool website here. I am looking for plans for a winter project. I'd like to build an A-boat. There are plenty of pics out there, but no decent 3 view or hull cross section drawings that I can find. I'd like to build it in around 1/15th scale or so. Are there any commercial plans out there ? I wonder if the navy still has any copies of the original blueprints?

Both are referenced from this book; U.S. Submarines Through 1945, An Illustrated Design History by Norman Friedman. Naval Institute Press.
As for the Navy still having the plans, probably do, your best bet is the National Archives.

thanks, raalst. I hope to have fun too. Boss.. cool drawing you found..i had the top one, but not the bottom one. I have started the process of requesting a search from the National Archives. They supposedly will respond to such requests in 10 days. Hopefully i will get lucky and they have some blueprints.

Got an email from the National Archives today..

We located external views for the USS Adder, A-2:

RG 19 Alpha Roll: Adder, 3789-1: "Inboard and Outboard Profile,
Sections and Battery Deck", 1903. Brownprint. Scale 3/8 inch equals 1
foot. Size: 30 inches by 80 inches.

RG 19 Alpha Roll: Adder, 3789-2: "Main Deck", 1903. Brownprint. Scale
3/8 inch equals 1 foot. Size: 12 inches by 32 inches.

Now all i need to do is find a 3rd party service that will make copies for me, since the National Archives doesn't actually copy them for you. There is a list of a few places in the email they sent that copy documents there, but they seem to do pictures and things, nothing as large as ship blueprints.I have emailed a couple of those, asking if they can do what I need, hopefully one of them will be able to.
